This image was used for a school assignment. My category was Wisdom in Old Age, and we had to use details, composition, and color as our main focus. You can really see the "wrinkles" in the cushion and this can easily represent the old age. As for the pins, I went with the colors mentioned: yellow, orange, blue, and purple. However, those aren't the only representations. Despite the obvious colors and detail in the cushion, take a deeper look into the meaning of the pins. We see the light reflecting only the pins and a small portion of the image. This can represent how the "darkness" of old age is sort of consuming all of the wisdom and intellect in the person's brain (which is represented by the light). Then notice how I left the sharp end of the pins sticking out. This represents how tough and hard it can be to obtain wisdom. It is a struggle, but with the light falling over it, it still shines. Wisdom can be dangerous, but can make you so much of a better person, depending on how you use it. There's also the arrangements of the pins. This shows that wisdom can be of different sorts and different aspects. it can be organized and yet still be scattered.
